Xmas balls

Dear readers,

I was walking on the road the other day, when I noticed something strange: there were balls hanging out from the ceiling. And not only balls, but also light spaghettis, which was even stranger.

Negrito: is that an alien invasion?

As all the people that were walking around did not consider this as being dangerous, there were only two solutions: either I was the only one to see them, or that was just a normal thing to have. As they did not seem to be aggressive – nevertheless I avoided passing just below the biggest balls, you never know what can go through their minds- I kept on walking when I noticed something incredible: right in the middle of the crowd there were lanterns stealing the crown jewels!

Negrito: but where are you going with the Crown jewels?

I mean, everybody know that lanterns are not always bright, but these ones had managed to put their hands on the whole stuff, you could see gems, pearl necklaces, hundreds of diamonds, and the lanterns were carrying them away as fast as possible. I wanted to call the cops, but in fact I realized that this was probably not a good idea as it seemed the lanterns were indeed already trapped in the window with no escape route they were just turning around the table. I noticed for myself that I should never use a lantern as a scout, and moved from this strange display, to find myself confronted with a very beautiful lady.

Negrito: To be or not to be, eb ot ton ro eb oT?

At first sight I thought she was just preparing herself for a party. The skull on the table was quite strange and while she was talking to the mirror, she was indeed looking at me and I kind of freaked out, I mean, she looks as deadly as beautiful. She then asked me who is the most beautiful lady, and I told her yourself of course, who else could compete without hesitation (what else can you answer a woman if you are a gentleman?) and she looked quite pleased but repeated the question, and I thought either she cannot hear me, or she is not very witty, or she does not believe me, or she is not real… and I had the answer looking at the next window, she was not real, all that was a big joke…

Negrito: Finally the Space Pigs!

For the first time did I realize that a lot of kids were around me and that these Pigs were behaving in a totally repetitive and incoherent way… and I remembered last year, when around Christmas they had already put some bears in the windows that were in fact not real bears but animated ones, just for the kid’s fun…. And they were doing it again this year!!! I was feeling a bit stupid to have been fooled so easily, but also realized that was an unique chance to see my favorite Christmas tree…

King Negrito: that’s a Christmas tree!

And I ran into the shop, and there it was, as beautiful as always, as tall as a mountain, as sparkling as a Crystal Champagne, with all the huge bubbles and I felt like a little Grito, full of happiness and very excited. So in these days where the night comes so early, where the weather is cold and sometimes rainy, just run to the Grands Magasins, and be a kid, that’s good sometimes.

Kisses to all

King Negrito

Were the giant balls and “spaghetti lights” shot at Au Printemps or Le Bon Marche? For some reason, I immediately thought I was looking at one of those stores when I saw your pictures. ;)

(I get them both mixed up, it could be either one!)

    That tree is INCREDIBLE!!!

I was there last week and was in awe not of the vitrines but the children who had their noses pressed to the glass to get the best view.

That tree is amazing. Do you know that our local shopping centre has banned trees as a health and safety hazard.
